Meet the Collins

At Collins & Collins Counseling Services, we believe that healthy relationships don't happen by chance; they are built with intentionality, grace, and the willingness to grow.

Shameka Collins, LMSW

is a licensed therapist, relationship counselor, and co-founder of Collins & Collins Counseling Services. She is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to heal, and empowered enough to grow. Known for her warmth, empathy, and thoughtful insight, Shameka helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional healing. She believes lasting change begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Shameka has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds. She especially enjoys helping women strengthen their confidence, establish healthy boundaries, heal from painful experiences, and cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others. When working with couples, Shameka helps them slow down difficult conversations, understand one another more deeply, and develop healthier ways to communicate and reconnect. Her calm and compassionate presence often helps create the emotional safety needed for honest dialogue and meaningful progress. Above all, Shameka believes every person has the capacity for growth and healing. She considers it an honor to walk alongside clients as they discover renewed hope, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of purpose.

He is passionate about helping individuals and couples break unhealthy patterns, strengthen emotional health, and build relationships that thrive. Clients appreciate Dr. Isaac's ability to balance compassion with honesty. His counseling style is warm, practical, and direct, helping clients move beyond simply talking about problems to developing the insight and skills needed to create lasting change. Dr. Isaac specializes in working with couples navigating communication challenges, trust issues, infidelity recovery, emotional disconnection, conflict resolution, and intimacy concerns. He also enjoys helping men grow emotionally, lead intentionally, and become healthier husbands, fathers, and leaders. In addition to counseling, Dr. Isaac is the creator of Husbantry, a men's community designed to equip husbands with the tools needed to strengthen their marriages through emotional intelligence, servant leadership, and intentional connection. Before becoming a full-time therapist, Dr. Isaac served in educational leadership, giving him a unique understanding of family dynamics, parenting, personal development, and leadership. Those experiences continue to shape his practical, solution-focused approach to counseling today. Whether working with an individual or a couple, Dr. Isaac believes meaningful transformation begins with self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the courage to take the next step toward healing.

Our Story Together

Collins & Collins Counseling Services was never simply a business plan; it was the result of God's calling on our lives.

Long before we opened our practice, we shared a passion for helping people navigate life's challenges and experience healthier relationships. As we served individuals, couples, families, and our local community, we began to recognize a common theme: people weren't just looking for advice. They were looking for hope. They wanted a safe place where they could be honest about their struggles, heal from past hurts, and learn how to build stronger relationships moving forward.

That calling eventually led us to build something together.

As husband-and-wife clinicians, we recognized that our different perspectives complemented one another in powerful ways. Men often connected with Dr. Isaac's direct, practical approach, while women frequently found comfort in Shameka's warmth, empathy, and thoughtful guidance. Together, we discovered that couples benefited from hearing both perspectives within the counseling room, creating conversations marked by greater understanding, balance, and mutual respect.

Over the years, we have walked with couples through broken trust, infidelity, communication struggles, emotional distance, parenting challenges, grief, anxiety, and significant life transitions. We've also celebrated countless moments of healing, reconciliation, renewed hope, and restored relationships.

Those experiences have continually reinforced what we believe:

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident.

They are built intentionally through honesty, humility, grace, and a willingness to grow.

Our desire has never been to simply help couples stay together. We want to help them build marriages that are healthy, resilient, and life-giving. We want individuals to become emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, and equipped to create lasting change in every area of life.

Today, Collins & Collins Counseling Services serves individuals and couples across multiple states through secure virtual counseling, making quality care accessible wherever our clients are.

Every session reminds us why we answered God's call.

It is an honor to witness healing. It is a privilege to walk alongside people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. And it is our prayer that every person who comes to us leaves with renewed hope, practical tools, and the confidence to move forward.

Because we believe that when one person heals, relationships change. When relationships change, families grow stronger. And when families grow stronger, generations are impacted.
